BIM Project 2(B) WIP

All elevations are cleaned up and adjusted. Removed elements and categories by hiding them with Hide Category in order for the views to be shown clearly.

Created sheets with the default A1 title block, and added the relevant views and arranged them on the A1 sheet at the correct (1:100) scale.

Cleaned up drawings further by creating Filled Regions and Masked Regions to show and hide elements respectively. The Filled Region tool is used to draw the ground line.

Creating a Masking Region to hide unwanted elements in this specific view.

Section cut lines are separated in order for the drawing to be neater.

Created an exploded view by displacing elements. Here, I'm editing the Displacement Set to include and remove elements that I'm displacing. The exploded lines are also added into the drawing.

Beginning to modify the title block family. Lengthened specific parts of the title block to fit in the Label Text.

Modified logo at the top and added the bitmap image of Taylor's University.

Created new Label Text for Sheet Name.

Greatly minimized Title Block to show only relevant information. Removed schedule.

Created a Room Schedule, and ordered them in terms of Floor Level, Area and Name.

On the Ground Floor Plan, I created a new camera and set the angle I desired.

By using Shift+W, I was able to move , orbit and pan the camera around until I found the desired views. Shown here, the interior Living Room perspective view. The 3D view is then locked and renamed.

All drawings now have measurement dimensions added. I have also changed the sheet numbers, and thus the Section Cut lines now are clearer and have proper annotations.

Adjusted and cleaned up Section Drawings by creating more Filled Regions and Masking Regions.

Created the required two Section Callouts, one for Roof Detail and one for Wall to Slab Detail. Adjusted the sizes and position of these callouts as well as their respective scales. (1:20)

Added annotations to the callouts using Text with leaders.

Added insulation graphic unto the Roof Detail callout to better show the layers of the roof.

Created a new Filled Region family in order to show the concrete plinth.

For Phasing, in order to ensure all already modeled elements are phased as Existing, I merged the New Construction with the previous phase, thus ensuring ALL elements are in the Existing phase. Then, I created a new New Construction phase.

Adjusting colour and hatching details for each specific phase.

Under the new construction phase, the Phase Filter is set to New Construction, and all new developments and additions are set to New Construction as well. Here, I am adding a new extension over the swimming pool and demolishing a wall.

Adding miscellaneous Annotation elements: tagging all doors, windows, rooms as well as creating Tread Number annotations on staircases.

Added other Annotation symbols such as elevation marker, slope rise, etc.

Finally to export into PDF files, I selected multiple Sheets to do so simultaneously and printed them with a PDF printer.
