BIM Project 2(A) WIP

For BIM's project 2(A), we are to individually select one building and create a BIM model based on the building. I chose to build a famous design of my employer during my internship: the Sepang House.

Created grid lines based on measurements of scaled drawing imported to AutoCAD.

Imported image of the building plan to assist in modelling.

 Added wall thicknesses as well as wall composition.

 Created walls based on gridlines. The ground floor plinth is also added.

Created ground floor roof with the Roof tool. The roof is also given definition and its composition set. Concurrently, the 1st and 2nd floor walls are being created.

Created beam system for the roof rafters.

Roof complete, with railings added on balconies.

Large column created out of extrusion, with materials set.

 Creating new slanted column family by extrusion. No parameters are set here as it is not intend to be customizable.

 Creation of family Door D2 began by setting the width of the family.

Creation of the W1 window family by creating extrusions that are parameterized.

Inserted new families. Edited room tags and tagged all rooms and spaces in the building.

 Modifying existing window families to create new custom windows.

  

 Creating a new material for water for the pool.

 Modifying the toposurface by adding topographical points. Trees have also been added as components.
